The motif is the norse god of fire, a troll or jotun named Surt.
Done all in hand, no machine. And sadly, its another of my unfinished works.

i remember you saying that you do not use a machine, so you use like pins and needles? like the traditional Japanese tattoo artists use?

It depends. I use a Cheyenne Thunder most of the time, but i do nordic traditional bronzeage tattooing as well.

i see, my tattooist once used them, however he quit for a while, i dont know why.

How does the traditional bronze age tattooing go? I dont know how to clarify that question well enough lol

Well, no hammering, and no long sticks, its just a simple handgrip, and i "trick" the needle into the skin in a simple movement, thereby adding ink :)
