Very nice ink It may be a coverup, but I can't tell what it's covering
and it's certainly eye catching and very nice blend of styles! I think
I see a blend of Maoiri and of course, 'basic tribal' and some Mayan
or other Mesoamerican motifs in there. Congrats on a very tattoo!

No Maori, no basic tribal, no Mayan nor other mesoamerican.
All the shapes in the design are from Ironage and darkage northern europe, mainly Denmark.
But good guesses though :)

Thanks for the info on the sources! I was going with the info I have
and what I've seen out there--and I've not seen much tattoo art done
from those artistic & historical design references! :)

I'm more accustomed to referencing those for historical costuming when
I was in the S.C.A.!
